Assistant & Creative Director

Roberta’s work as a Creative Director unfolds at the intersection of the performing body, space, and human connection. With a background in dance and cultural production, she specialises in creating immersive, site-specific experiences that challenge conventional formats and reimagine the relationship between art, space, and audience.

In recent years, she has worked as Assistant Director and artistic collaborator on several acclaimed productions, including Rara Avis – directed by Natalia Barraza and produced by Circ d’Hivern 2025, a contemporary circus piece that weaves surreal imagery, physical virtuosity, and striking visual poetry. Protos – a choreographic work by Janet Novás, where she accompanied the initial stages of the creative process. Sustainable Bodies – a collaborative and interdisciplinary project exploring the intersections of ecology, embodiment, and collective practice.

Since 2019, she has curated and directed Afterwork Artístico, a monthly performance series in Barcelona that brings theatre, dance, music, and contemporary creation into everyday workspaces. The series unfolds as an evolving collection of performative “episodes” that blur the boundaries between the artistic and the everyday.

In 2018, she created La Vaca In Performance—two multidisciplinary events that transformed La Vaca coworking space into a vibrant stage for experimentation. In 2016, she created and directed Out of the Box at Die Etage Schule in Berlin—a contemporary circus piece conceived as the final showcase for graduating students. The work merged circus, dance, and physical theatre, offering a space for performers to articulate their artistic voices and explore new performative languages.

In 2014, she choreographed and performed Cromosoma – Vite in Divenire, a contemporary circus piece with a strong visual and poetic identity, which toured internationally from 2014 to 2017. The piece explored themes of identity, transformation, and the evolving body. It also marked Roberta’s debut as a universal performer—an artist capable of conceiving, embodying, and carrying a self-created work through the international circuit.

Across all these experiences, Roberta is guided by a vision of performance as a living and transformative act—one capable of dissolving the boundaries between disciplines, spaces, and people.
